Isn't that a hum-dinger of an issue. Stripping the DRM from your personal copies is legal, but the writing/creation of these DRM-stripping programs are illegal.

Smoking pot is legal, but growing it is illegal.
Building a house is legal, but the creation of nails and tools are illegal.
Creating a first-person-shooter PC came is legal, but creating the mapping programs are illegal.

Amazing.
