i would never have the patience for that ! but what i like about sewing is that you can make something which *looks* complicated (or at least, it looks very original) but really it's very simple. and depending on the fabric you use it can be a completely different style based on the same pattern. i had a dress pattern when i was in school which i made 3 different times in different fabrics, i just changed the length of the skirt (short or long) and the height of the waist, and it was a whole wardrobe. and it was such an easy pattern i could make it in a few hours.
