This is merely beating around the bush: if they say you can't use their product on machines other than those made by Apple, and you're supposed to agree to this before using the software, then you have a moral obligation to abide by the terms of that agreement. Whether it is legal, illegal, civil, criminal or otherwise is irrelevant to me: when I give my word, I keep it--or at least do everything in my power to do so.

But in the end, this debate is academic. Testing and developing software on a Hackintosh would always leave doubts as to how will that software perform on a standard OS X system. That uncertainty is unacceptable.
