I sure hope you get paid for your work in this thread, Eowyn Carter, because you're working harder at Bookeen's public relations than they themselves are. Unless of course you are indeed part of their public relations, in which case it would more honest to just say so.
Anyway, Bookeen seems to have made a mistake of releasing different versions of their Cybook hardware and then being unable to support different versions. A little planning, guys! Seriously, when you decide to modify your hardware THINK of the consequences. Think of how it could affect your ability to support your product. (seems obvious enough to)
Somehow I can picture this 22 year old programming student working in the weekends for Bookeen, getting all confused about insurmountable problem of the mystical serial numbers. "What?!? this one is totally different from that one???!?!? how can I program in such madness?!"
Also why are we only getting information about Bookeen's product from somebody unrelated (?) to their product on some public ereader forum? Are all their customers supposed to find this place to know why "soon" means more than a month in French? The only information Bookeen supplies seems to be on their blogspot, and the information that they do supply is a incorrect. (ie. "soon" being a lie!)
