I've got a few text documents that I want to batch convert to EPUB for better viewing on an e-reader, however they're taking forever to import into Calibre.

It's about 10 text files and it's been working on it over 8 hours now. Calibre is using 4 and a bit CPU's worth of CPU time according to activity monitor. Is this typical or does it sound like something has crashed?

My system is a Mac Pro running Snow Leopard, 2x Quad Core 2.8GHz Xeon, 14GB RAM.

I notice that the Calibre application is a PowerPC app rather than a Universal Binary. Could this be why it's running slowly for me, or does it sound like it's crashed?
