I guess it comes down to one's expectations. Give them some time.
Call centres have operators sitting there waiting for calls to come in. Email can be screened in set time for the workers.
Smaller companies cannot afford to have someone sitting there all day idle waiting for e-mails to reply to. These workers will be multi tasked, and are busy doing other duties. Do be patient. This is probably the hardest thing to do when something's gone wrong with our prized purchase.
