Right now, I'm trying to get UPS and my former cable company to play nice. I cancelled the subscription over a month ago. I took the baox and other equipment to the cable store. Which was closed. They left a forwarding address two towns away, "for your conveninece." I called the cable company to invite them to pick up the junk from my front porch. They insisted that i had to take a day off to wait for them to arrive somewhere between 8 AM and next Thursday. I asked for a idfferent way to get them their equipment. They offered to send a shipping box. The box took two weeks to get here. In the meantime, they have sent me a bill for "unreturned equipment." I put the package together and called UPS. They said I had to pay for shipping. I told them that I had a return label. They said I had to pay for shipping. I called the Cable Company. They said I should ask for a UPS supervisor. I got the supervisor who told me I need to call the Cable Comapny. I talked to a supervisor at the Cable Company who told me I needed to insist at UPs and have them call her if they refused to cooperate. I called the UPS and asked for a supervisor, who refused to call the Cable Company. I asked for the supervisor's superevisor, who asked me to repeat the shipping number. After doing so, he asked, "Are you sure it's 2100?" I told him yes, and he said that that meant that the Cable COmpany had paid for the shipping and that the 2111 number I had been giving them earlier meant that thaey had not. I "politely" informed him that it was their STUPID, FARKING ROBOTRON COMPUTER SYSTEM THAT HAD GOTTEN IT WRONG!!!!

They come to pick it up tonight at 7:00 PM.
