You are right of course: a Hanlin V5 is the same hardware everywhere, regardless of the name on the box. I have no need to disparage Endless Ideas. The beBook Mini impressed me very much the moment I saw it. But Astak is selling a V5 in the part of the world I live in and gives me secure ePub books, a format I am willing to invest in. I think the ergonomics of an eBook reader must include how it enables the owner to access books thus it encompasses the books it can display and how you are enabled to display them. All those things together make the Pocket Pro a book reader I can get and want to have. It seems to me that all of that amounts to more difference between the different implementations than just “tweaking” the firmware.
