this is the proper procedure for most forums, instead of closing the duplicate thread, it just be combined with the duplicate, and a trackback url be left in the place where the duplicate was. Atleast that is what I used to tell my moderators to do. As an administrator, I once lost my temper with a member, who everyone knew I already hated. I felt severely bad later. It is possible for many mods and admins to feel superior to someone, and therefor be rude to someone, sometimes without noticing. I'm not saying that is what happened here, but I would Usually ask my Mods to reread what their decisions were, and ask themselves how they could have handled it better. They usually see how they were wrong and could have handled a situation better by stepping on less toes. A mods actions should be seen and not heard, a mod should look to see how to solve a problem, instead of just stopping a problem. VB gives many tools to the moderators that they can use to solve problems.

Also this thread should have been moved to the Feedback forum with a 3 day expiring trackback on it.
