I have a sneaking suspicion that the steam locomotive appreciation and morris dancing clubs have raised their standards, and don't let the book fondlers in any more... Too many strange grubby marks and stains on the minutes from the last meeting.
Either that, or they are unsure who to get to review these gizmos, and get either the literary correspondents or the just out of school tech journalists in training.
Each one seems to be either from the college student perspective or the people who really love books. Not reading, but books as objects to be admired on a display, or waxed lyrically about.
