Then I'd think Esperanto would be your best option. "To read" is "legi" and "ilo" is the suffix meaning "device", so I'd guess a reading device would most likely be "legilo". The 'g' is hard, as in 'get', not 'gin'. Or maybe "librilo", a device for books.
