On the off-chance you are confused, let me explain the majority opinion matters little to me too, unless I came to interact or work with those people, then respecting majority of them and their opinion is the thing to do.

Not confused in the slightest. Respecting a majority opinion is not the same as agreeing with said opinion. Majorities of any kind disturb me, as they should any thinking person. And so does the common. The common is halfway between this and that, it's middle of the road, it's beige at its very core.
