Well, maybe, but as people tend to use the least words possible, reducing them to the maximum, with a unique word with 2 syllables the work is already made !
PS : We would rather say "périphérique d'elivre" or "lecteur d'elivres", BTW (no critic here, just to put it mre precisely !
