I would be disincentivised by the prospect of leading the debate - on a worldwide forum I'm not sure it would be easy to be online long enough to do it.

But maybe the nomination could have a few pointers for potential discussion in addition to the synopsis - a bit of background about why the nomination was put forward.

I like the idea of the form letter though, I think that'd encourage more participation after the read.
