I can't believe such annoying LED, as well as the SD card not being directly accessible and exchangeable from outside ... but .. after all, it's Irex!

From what I have read from another CrunchGear article a Rep from IREX says that there is no on board memory. It stores everything on the SD Card. I quit using the SD card on my 505 because it slowed things down. I hope this is not the case with the IREX.
