no, i read it ! but just once. it was one of those books where i couldn't actually *stop* reading it (although i sort of wished i'd never started it...), so i read the whole damned thing, but i probably left the light on all night for a week afterwards.

the worst of it was that i was really not expecting it at all, since none of her other books are scary, so it took me by surprise. i guess in a way that's a recommendation, since despite it not being her habitual genre / style, it's very effectively done.
