Not having a STAReBOOK to hand, I can't tell you what that entails, although from what I've read on the STAReBOOK site, this should be just a firmware download through either the USB cable or the SD memory card. That's one of the things I want to check out when I get my evaluation unit from Bookeen.

If if and if

always the way.
Well, if you need any help from someone with a STAReBOOK give me a yell.
From playing with firmware on the STAReBOOK you donwload a compresed filesystem image to SD card, reboot the deice and it loads an updater app from the card and bingo, new firmware. I havent actually had this work yet as my unit shipped with the latest firmware so updating doesn't work.
It "may" be possbile to open up the comressed filesystem and have a poke around while its not on the device. At least this would give a clearer idea of whats going on inside from a software perspective.
