My coworker told me that her kitten loves this and maybe it'll entertain her for a while..

she has many, many toys. but she's a degenerate appartment cat, and if i'm not throwing the ball / twitching the feather duster / moving my fingers under the quilt / etc. she's not interested. she used to play by herself a bit when she was younger and i keep trying to encourage her to do that again but so far it's not working.

i think i'm going to buy her a ridiculously expensive toy called the "catit circuit de jeu senses"
because i'm pretty sure that it's the kind of toy she would like and since 1. you can't lose the bleeding ball under the furniture and 2. once you start it moving it will keep moving even with very little help it should (hopefully) keep her interested.

see, i did tied a cork on the end of a string to the top of a doorframe, but somehow unless i'm there she's just not interested.

i hadn't thought of putting catnip in paperbags, usually the bag alone is pretty fascinating, but again she likes it much better if i'm there rustling the side of it with my foot while she tries to catch it from inside.
degenerate, really.
edit : pay no attention to the clearly psychotic kitten in the right of that photo. i am sure that the game will not turn your cat into a demon. of course, if your cat already *is* a demon, it won't cure it, either. probably.
