That is less than 3000 per work day, and Kindle is the current biggest seller in the electronic book market, AFAIK. Two years ago Amazon had 13,900 employees, so they should have no trouble with the distribution of less than 3000 units per day. If a
single independent reseller of a competing brand can do even 10% of that they are probably doing pretty good. So again, what would
you consider "a lot of consumer" in the e-book arena?
