My red unit looks perfect, and it is only after a few minutes of usage that you see the bubbling to the right edge of frame. This is very slight and as reported, can easily be smoothen down. They are gone once the unit has been turned off for some time.
If this is the only problem I can expect, I am more than happy to live with the minor defect, than to worry about the hassles and cost for a RMA.

I say this very reluctantly because I really wanted this to work out, but my blue PocketPro's finish *is* getting worse and it's doing so in a slightly different way. I'd never had the same level of smudging or wrinkling others had been seeing. Just a noticeable but livable level that was not changing. This seemed consistent with the theory that the rubberized paint simply needed more time to set.
Yesterday, however, I began to see a very slight tearing along the upper right corner of the front of the device -- to the right of the EZ reader logo. Basically it looked like the sharp edge of the device was starting to tear through the rubberized coating. I have barely used it and it's not been more than 15 feet from my house since I opened the package. (I sat outside with it for about ten minutes, not in direct sunlight or any great level of heat.) There is no reason why the coating should be tearing this way. I've attached a picture showing what I'm talking about. I am 100% certain this tearing was NOT there two days ago.
I left the device sitting on a table all night and all day today, not in direct sunlight or anything. Just went back to check on it and now the tearing has spread all the way around the radius of the corner. There is also another tear beginning about an inch lower along the same right-hand edge.
I am very unhappy. At this point, trying to decide whether to try exchanging for a black/white model or going for a refund.
