While some people seem to have never actually possessed a 600 and at best have seen it in a shop. So basically they haven't used the device for any significant length of time. I have been using it close to 2 weeks reading under various lightning conditions and I find it great. The "glare" issues is next to non-existent when reading during daylight or under a good reading light. You need to specifically orient devices under a certain angle to introduce glare.

All in all, if you don't like something - just return it. Saying same thing over and over across countless threads isn't going to magically change anything. If it is not a device for you, fine, maybe somebody else will like it. No point making something look bad because it doesn't suit you.

And to all potential buyers: go to shop and make a decision yourselves. I did. Even after reading countless posts long before the device was released I still went out to see it for myself.

I have changed my opinion on the 600 - I talked to Sony and in fact the screen now uses exotic metamaterials like the ones being used to develop invisibilty shields for DARPA and even at the optimal angle of incedence while standing in direct sunshine there is no glare.

very cool stuff...
