You need either a Kindle or an iPhone or iPod Touch to buy Kindle ebooks. Note that a non-functioning Kindle would be sufficient, since you can download Kindle ebooks to your PC. If you have an iPhone, the ebooks can only be downloaded to your iPhone and have to be extracted from there to use them on another device.
