I didn't read the OP as someone saying the 600 is perfect, or even as being about the device more than in passing.
I thought the complaint was about people who are apparently going from thread to thread complaining the 600 is unsuitable because of the touch-screen even though they themselves have very little if any experience with the device in question. That's about behavior, not technology.
I've never seen a 600 in person, so I can't really judge. I did see a 505 and 700 side-by-side, and that helped cement my decision of which to buy. All we really know is that the 300 has a clearer screen than the 600 - and that for some purchasers that is going to be the deciding factor. That doesn't mean the 600 is unreadable.
I think different people have different needs - and that both devices have their place.
