I thought that the DR1000S used resistive touchscreens as well, rather than a capacitive one, with only the buttons being capacitive-type. and part of the battery issues the thing had was because it would do things like auto-crop PDF's, which would mean that it was doing more processing in the background than something like a PRS-series reader does.
