If you know your Kindle's MOBI PID, which can be calculated from its serial number, then mobidedrm.py will convert AZW ebooks to DRM-free MOBI. If you look in the comments to Dark Reverser's weblog you might even find a software package setup to make all this very easy (but only on a Windows computer). The basic python scripts can be run on a Mac.
