heeheehee !!! i've just gotten home, about 10 of us or so stayed to have dinner, and after dinner patricia and i went for our traditional drink. it was a lovely evening, it was wonderful to see some familiar faces, and also to meet some new ones ! ygg has done an excellent job as usual of reporting the events and listing the people who were there, a few i didn't see on his list were :
- grégoire
- romuald
- vincentb
- hadrien
- a very nice woman from a new ebook publisher who will surely be back around the forum, although maybe lurking
and i'm sure some more whose names are escaping me right now (i'm feeling a bit sleepy !)
i even gave a demo to two clients in the café who happened to be there and were intrigued to see all these gadgets.
i tried out ygg's tiny tiny keyboard (he saves the day again !) as you can see in post #7, sadly, i typed in laboriously my first post, and then somehow clicked not on "post quick reply" but something else and had to start over

i'm not a pro of the smartphone i have to say !
in the gadget list i have to signal also the fabled BOOKEEN GEN2 !!! that's right ! you didn't think it existed, but we've seen it ! i even took a few photos, unfortunately you'll have to wait for those since i really must be going to bed now, sorry ! it was a sort of intermediary between the gen1 and the gen3, closer to a tablet than a liseuse, with an lcd screen and using windowsCE (i think...), with a very ingenious easel clip which could allow you to prop it up near vertical for displays or demonstrations, or at a slight angle for comfortable reading on a table. there was also an italian (?) device which is probably the last of its kind in existence, about 10 years old, quite impressive ! little trivia detail, the screen was custom made only for that device. the only device which could read drm lit files ! (unfortunately, we didn't have any with us...).
it was a great night and i'm very glad everyone was able to come ! i can't wait to see you all again next time, in december.
nighty night !
