Kazbates mentioned Hanging.

I can't help it, I want to hurt something. I've now got two Macs and one Dell trying to get my wife's 505 to let her read Brick Lane, and it's Zip, Nada, Niente. Now my 505 is locked out having tried to help me by being used as a 'sacrificial diode'.

Waterstone's staff allowed us an extra download, but no good. Adobe digital editions doesn't even see the 505s on the screens. The Dell sees both books but won't let me register the pretty red one in her own Adobe ID.

I could go on but will hold back for fear of hitting the red mist again. The dog is scared, the wife is nervous; drink is an option.

Can't these people who write the programmes try just once to co-ordinate their systems? How many accumulated hours/days, have members of this forum, Adobe's Forums, Apple forums, Mac forums etc. connived to get those simple electronic books to work with the software supposedly designed to enable us to use them more efficiently.

They wouldn't know efficient if it was an ice cold salmon smacking them around the ears. I shall have to send for Jedi Toots.
