I do agree with you that the Cool-er (horrible name) and others like it had serious firmware issues. I can understand Astak not wanting a part in that. However, with a rumored release date of September 30 (according to this thread), you would think someone would have information somewhere about it. The release date is only 11 days away, supposedly. There is FAR more information about other ebook readers that are much farther down the line than this one. It just strikes me as odd.
I'd like to plunk down my money and buy one but I would like to know what's on the horizon. The PRS-505 still interests me greatly even though it is 2 years old already.
