When I got mine, they didn't show up. After a few hours I started seeing some. As I stated before, I thought it was oil from the leather case, but after some of the information that has come, I have another opinion.
As Mr JSWolf said, the surface might not have been prepared correctly, and with the "rubberized" surface "wrinkling" instead of cracking, it looks like it might be stretching, as opposed shrinking.

ROBERT B YOU MIGHT ASK THIS QUESTION, whether a
GENTLE heat might be applied, like a hair dryer on
WARM. But, of course, heat might stretch it also. But it might soften it to press it down.

NO ONE TRY THIS UNTIL WE HAVE SOME EXPERT OPINIONS FAVORING IT. !!!!!!!!!!

BTW, regardless of the blue wrinkles, the reasons I purchased an ASTAK have not changed and I will NOT be returning it, barring the unit failure.
