You ever have to resort to a pair of off-the-shelf reading glasses? Had to decide if I wanted to get a headache behind my left eye or my right eye. This getting old thing sucks but I guess it's better than the alternative.
I wish I could tell you my eye problems are the same as yours but I'm afraid they aren't. I am very nearsighted and have had to wear corrective lenses FOREVER!! In the last few years, I've had to start using reading glasses, too. My optometrist talked me in to wearing one contact lens to correct my near vision and one contect lens to correct my far vision which is called Monovision. So, no longer do I see in Stereo like normal people. It can be annoying sometimes because nothing is every really clear, either close or far, but at least I don't have to go looking for my reading glasses all the time (and I look less like an old lady ).

Because of my monovision, clarity is a real issue for me which is why I don't quite understand all the complaints about the crispness of the display or the glare on the 600. The display is much better than on my 700 and I've been loving that reader since I got it last December.
