Uh, Oh. Sounds like sideburnt wants to get involved in Calibre development.

I'm sure that would be welcomed by the team if there are legitimate issues.

As AZ says, most people don't seem to be having any issues using the software. When you start manually manipulating the files then any issues are likely due to that. End of story.
