Toast is the kitchen's killer app.

Apple's new iToast includes a shuffle feature to let find your favorite; rye, whole wheat or pumpernickel. It's $600 but includes a lanyard so you can enjoy your toast on the go.

Sony's Toastman is smaller, but it can only brown about half a slice at a time, and you have to use special Sony metric toast that's not yet widely available.

Microtoast's offering allows you to send snippets of toast to your friends wirelessly, but the toast disappears after they've had three bites.
