I saw 600/300 in the local Waterstones yesterday.
I have got a strong impression that Waterstones do their best not to sell the reader.
The reader is placed in a relatively dark place. It is permanently screwed to a stand! You cannot take it into your hand to get a feel of the gadget, you cannot check it at different angles to whatever light you have there. It is placed very low. I am a short man, 175 cm and I had to bend down quite a lot in order to be able to operate it and have it against my face at the proper angle. It was positioned between my chest and navel level if not completely vertically, then very close!
Cannot imagine worse representation of ebook reader. Looks like they are doing their best to scare off potentional customers.
I told their manager/senior sales person, not sure, about it, he said it is done for security reasons!!! and will not be changed! He didn't even want to talk to me, he looked annoyed when I mentioned the problem.
I wonder whether Sony realises that they loose sales because of at least one book shop?
As for the reader itself.
I noticed that menu for a book lost Begin, End options.
