I had two Sony computers, a desktop and a portable. I found that the support was really miserable. Since you are mentioning laptops, I should point out that Sony Support explained to me that my Picturebook PCG C1VN was "not intended for laptop use," which was their excuse for manufacturing a portable computing device that ran so hot it presented a risk of scalding future generations of Sony customers.
