For sheer comfort of grip while reading? The originally supplied cover wins hands down IMO, but that may simply be because I haven't broken the new one in yet.

Sounds like I made the right decision buying the Sony leather cover. Excellent, IMHO - provided you get one which lines up right, at least

. Mine is acceptable in that department, although not absolutely perfect.
I think the Sony one is real leather - it certainly smells and feels like leather. I'm extremely happy with mine.
