I saw a study which said that some school children can get back problems from the weight of books they carry to and from school. Some of these kids end up with a few kilos in their bags, so for that reason alone it would be great to see ebooks used more often.

Now many kids have a bunch of books and a laptop in their bags. A slightly more advanced kindle with improved note taking/internet applications would be ideal imo.
