two books...first was Anthony Adverse by Hervey Allen.. I read it in my early teens one summer and it took me the whole summer I became really engrossed in the character who is traced from birth to death.... read it a second time a few years ago not as good as the first time but still good
the other book is Don Quixote....someone ( I don't know who) said you should read Quixote 3 times in your life...in your youth... middle age and then old age...well I have read it twice and am holding off on the third as my way of denying my approaching elder status.... I am saving for that occasion the Edith Grossman translation which I have as ebook-naturally) on my phone
