Probably the leather is a bit more "stiff" than the neoprene sleeve.
But mainly it's the "cool factor" I guess. Looks like a leather bag, way more elegant.
I'm fine with my standard Sony cover though...
But some users state, they'd like to hold the Sony 300 in their hands, without any cover. With the clutch case, you can do that. With the standard leather cover/portfolio I certainly won't.
