If so, i was wondering about that myself.

Is a black or red bezel distracting?
Maybe even tiresome?
Should i get the silver version because of it?

Since i have never seen anyone talking about that i assume the color of the device is not relevant to the reading-comfort.
I was wondering the same thing about the tiresome comment, I had the dark blue PRS-500, the Dark Blue PRS-505 and found no issue with the contrast between the dark bezels and light screens. I always prefer dark colors over light colors when available in any device I hunt down.
