I'm having the same kind of problem with a LIT to ePub conversion as the topic starter. The solution/hint provided is Greek to me (Calibre novice and no experience with html whatsoever).
Can anyone explain how to 'pre-edit' said LIT file so Calibre can split it and make the ePub?
