You're absolutely right on that! BTW: I've worked for over 10 years in the computer games industry as a senior/leading game designer and normally you have to keep a very tight schedule (by all means... and that is "crunch time" = working 24/7, sleeping at the office). Somehow I can't imagine Bookeens programmer(s) "crunching"...

I don't have the pretension to judge bookeen's work when i don't know what's going on there at all.

I don't know what's going on at bookeen, but i don't think they are delaying the firmware just because it's fun...
Yes, they don't do it because it's fun, but from what we've heared (and that's not much), it seems to be bad planning and/or some wrong decisions...

"Feature requests" and "change management" are things that are mostly overlooked in projects or handled badly (if at all...). There is a time in the project, where you can't add any new features or change something - you just have to finish the d*mn thing! (OK, you can branch off with part of the team to the new version with said features/changes, but the rest has to follow the plan.)
