Check out www.AnthologyBuilder.com -- you can build your own set of short stories and have the book shipped to you. Sorry, DTB only. BUT many of the stories on the site were first published online; you may be able to tell where and access them that way. A bunch of the stories are from out-of-print magazines.

I know Eric Flint has at least one story out there. You can preview a certain amount too.

I highly recommend the work by Nancy Fulda. She does tend towards space opera, but her stuff is just excellent (she runs the site and also is a slush reader for Baen).
