I know, I did place the qualifier mostly... The majority of ePubs I've bought were clearly not tested on or made for the Sony, the margins (some more than 2cm) are a waste of screen space and the text at S is often around 6pts. Some are fine. The majority of LRFs have obviously been made for the Sony and are usually within a few pixels of the edge of the screen and make good use of the Reader screen. Now as regards my criticism of the Reader ePub support, all the ePubs I've bought look wonderful in the Adobe viewer, all wrap to the size I want and display beautifully, typographically correct. So I was thinking that the firmware could be polished to automatically strip margins or reflow/wrap text to make full use of the Reader screen.

Having seen a number of books in both formats, I can say the LRF mostly had small margins and the same book sold in ePub had huge margins and erratic text sizes when displayed on the Sony, even some instances of text changing size mid chapter to form ridiculous 'pull quotes' not visible when viewed in Adobe viewer on the laptop.

So I thought it was reasonable to assume that the problems lay with the firmware's handling of the ePub format. Harry are you wonderfully happy with the way the 505 natively displays all of your ePubs?
