Trying not to freak out. I live in a small town in Illinois - some of you know where. Most of you also know I work in the only chain "supermarket" in town. I meet nearly everyone in town sooner or later, if I don't know them by name, I know them by sight. One of my regular customers got murdered today. This is a small town, stuff like this isn't supposed to happen here! The going theory of the police (according to the local paper's website) is that she walked in on a home invasion in progress (in broad daylight, mind you). As far as has been published, they have no leads as to who might have done this. I'm in shock. There is NO WAY I'm coming home to an empty house next week when I work, unless they catch someone by then...if Chris is working overtime, I'll just go straight from the store to pick him up and sit there half an hour longer.
