I agree that it basically comes down to what you like to read.
If you like the latest books, you're more likely to find them for the Kindle. I have a 505 and occasionally Amazon has an ebook that I want and Sony doesn't. Both stores have all the popular books of today (e.g. the Twilight series).
If you like classics or library books, then the Sony is the way to go. The ability to read several formats is priceless to anyone who likes old books (or as-yet-unpublished in p-book format books from obscure authors). I could happily read for years and (legally!) never pay for a book.
My advice: If your tastes are "mainstream" (i.e. you mostly read best-sellers), go with the Kindle, if not, take the Sony. You say you like both, so I would think about the ratio. You'll probably have more luck with the baby books at Amazon, but I don't know.
