I checked several ebooks I've recently read. (Some are slightly older/continuing series.) Most were about the same price from Sony or BoB as from Amazon, or at most a dollar or so more expensive. OTOH, I've borrowed over 30 eBooks over the past year from the local library. So, by this measure, I'm "saving" hundreds of dollars over having a Kindle and being forced to buy these newer books. Just another consideration for the "cost of books" issue.
