...now that I think about it, he's the same teacher who tried to persuade one of my classmates that smoking was
healthy- and he had a medicine degree too (thankfully he didn't pass the exam enabling him to become a GP or something!).
(Think about how things have changed: I just took him for a madm-, er, an eccentric character; nowadays he'd have parents screaming for his blood, hide and bones for having suggested anything like that... not that he wasn't absolutely wrong, but we were eighteeen )
