Device: Irex Iliad
Asus Ebook Reader

I am sort of excited about this device. My ideal ebook reader would be as follows...

8.5x11 diplay of pdfs
Some sort of word doc viewer editor
email/web access
ability to view google books pdfs (without conversion tools)
usb keyboard connectivity.

I had an iliad, and was quite excited about it, I could read many pdfs (though not the google books ones, and I like old obscure books), and while there was an attempt to make software for it, after Irex opened it up for development (Great move by them).

I don't do much in my job, except process information, email, and research, so it does not need to be fast, but I would like to have one device to do this, I realize that a laptop can do this, but I hunch over my desk too much as it is, and I enjoy sitting back in a chair to do my reading, or lay in bed.

I would really like to have linux as the OS, as that would open up some functionality off the bat (perhaps simcty classic, or text adventures would be nice as well).

I really like the eink display, but I would likely be willing to forgo that, as I rarely read outside, and I could dock more often without much suffering.

I have been awaiting the apple tablet, as I am sure it will be a slick and well thought out device, but I dislike the closed-ness aspect of the device.
