The clue is the "in-law" part. Because if I married another man, the sanctity of marriage would be be blasted to hellfire, and chilli-coated locusts will rain from the skies to feast upon our lower colons via the shortest route available, our current "liberal" government, like our last "conservative" government, sees fit to protect the populace from this utterly unholy abomination. From both points of the political spectrum, you're damned if you do and...well, you're just damned.

So, two reasons for it never occurring:
  • the government won't ratify it "in law" in my lifetime
  • I've already watched both of my parents-in-law pass away

So, it'll never happen.
