My alltime Fav: "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott. I first read it as I was 8 or so, and kept reading it every now and then. I am now 41 and I still love it, alhough I don't see the same things in it as I did as a kid of course.

Nick Hornby in general, and "A long way down" in particular. It's dark but very funny at the same time.

I wish I could find the whole "Whiteoaks of Jalna" serie by Mazo de la Roche as ebooks, I loved it.

Various biographies by Antonia Fraser, especially Mary Queen of Scots.

There are so many great books, but so little time...
